Después de esperar por su gran oportunidad, al chico malo Cage York finalmente lo han llamado para demostrar su talento en el equipo universitario de baseball. Pero cuando su novia, Eva pierde inesperadamente a su padre, no es a los brazos de Cage que busca refugio, sino a los de su ex cuñado y hermano gemelo de su ex prometido Jeremy.

Indeciso entre sus sueño de jugar baseball y la chica de sus sueños, Cage debe probar que es digo del amor de Eva, o arriesgarse a perderla por Jeremy por siempre.

Sooo.. How was it??

According to other reviews of this book, the second part of Eva and Cage’s story was one of the most expected books of the year, and i said other reviews, because when i read this book it mostly the entire series was already out, so i just purchase the second i end Amanda's  story. 

So here it goes i loved the first Cage book, (as you can see in here), and i love to read more thing about the characters i love, it’s like follow their lives and i love that; this book was more somber, even that their love is stronger than ever, it’s being put to test when Cage receive the offer of play baseball and Eva being her loving girlfriend, push him to accept the offer, but suddenly she has to come back to her home to take care of his father and as they drift apart, more surprises appear, so many changes are coming through their lives, that they just end up breaking up which is the saddest part of their story, and when Eva’s lives is falling apart Jeremy appears on the picture to save and protect her, and in here my feeling where in a turmoil because i loved Jeremy for stepping up and help Eva with everything that she need and being the great men that he is, he doesn’t do it because he is in love with Eva it’s jus that he loves her and doesn’t want to see her so miserable. 

Meanwhile Cage it’s being his stupid self, just for a little bit, but i don’t know whyy!!!! he just doesn’t run to Eva’s rescue, but ok he’s being really mature, and behaving himself, but OMG hurry up.!

Any way i really like this book because we get to know a little bit more from the other characters, the previous one and the next books as always, so it’s passionate and heart breaking, you’ll get really frustrated with Eva’s choices but hey i hope you understand her fear of lost. 

I hope that you read it, because it’s full with surprises and once you pick it up, you won’t let it go until you finish it.

Y como estuvo?

Leyendo otras reseñas sobre este libro, la segunda parte de la historia de Eva y Cage fue una de las mas esperadas por mucho tiempo, y digo otros por que cuando yo leí la historia, ya casi todos los libros de esta serie ya habían salido así que al segundo de haber terminado la historia de Amanda corrí a comprar el otro. 

Así que aquí va, yo AME con pasión y locura el primer libro de Cage (como lo pueden ver aquí), y amo leer las continuaciones de los personajes, por que es como seguir sus vidas y amo eso; este libro es un poco mas sombrío, y aunque su amor esta mas fuerte que nunca, obviamente es puesto a prueba y cuando Cage recibe una oferta imperdible para jugar baseball y Eva siendo la novia amorosa que es, lo presiona para que acepte esa oferta, pero inesperadamente Eva tiene que volver a su casa para cuidar a su padre que esta enfermo y cuando empiezan a distanciarse una sorpresa muy grande aparece, muchos cambios en sus vidas hacen que Eva busque consuelo en Jeremy, y obviamente siendo el caballero que es su decisión es muy fácil salvar y proteger a Eva de cualquier mal y peligro esta por encima de todo y lo mas lindo es que el no lo hace por este enamorado de Eva sino por que ama a Eva y no le gusta verla tan miserable. 

Mientras tanto Cage esta siendo un estúpido, pero solo por un momento, pero no se PORQUE!!!! no corre a los brazos de Eva cuando ella claramente lo necesita, aunque bueno no sabe la mitad de lo que esta pasando; lo bueno es que esta siendo muy maduro y se esta comportando pero por Dios apurese!!!. 

Pero bueno, amo este libro por que podemos conocer un poco mas de todas las historias las anteriores y las futuras como en todos los libros se introduce a los nuevos personajes del siguiente libro, es tan apasionada que te romperá el corazón, las decisiones de Eva te frustarán taaaanto taaanto no sabes cuando por que realmente Cage se hace querer jejej, pero espero que entiendas su miedo a perder a mas personas en su vida. 

Espero que lo leas por que esta llena de sorpresa y una vez lo cojas no lo podrás soltar hasta que lo termines y seas feliz por siempre.

OH — y una estirada y fastidiosa morena con los ojos mas grandes y azules que alguna vez halla visto. Pero ella no cuenta, por que por mucho que ha intentado “endulzarle el oído” para meterla a su cama - esta bastante seguro que ella prefiere verlo colgado del techo antes que dejarlo probar sus dulces labios.

On this book, we get to meet Cage on his full and glory, as i told you on the past review, Abbi Glines introduce the next character on the preview book (if that make sense), so in here Cage is facing giving up his dream, and the only commitment that he has ever been consisten, as his partying finally got him in trouble, after he got a DUI, his coach gave him an ultimatum, he works hard and gains the coach trust again or he can kiss his scholarship goodbye, that’s it as simple as that, after he stop being and stubborn brat, he decide that baseball is more important than pride, so he departs to a farm for the summer.

But after he arrive to this farm everything turns interesting as he meets this sweet beautiful girl,who brings something into him, but she is so stubborn (at least in his eyes) but what he doesn’t know is that her perfectly plan life changed the worst way possible and she’s stuck on suffering and pretending to be ok, when she just want to die, but she is trying to be ok, for her daddy, who has given everything to be with his daughter, tragedy after tragedy; her life if you see it from the outside is quite perfect, she got money, a loving father, and perfect family in law who loves her, but her life crumbles every time she remember her dead fiancé, wow! that was heavy, i mean you heart aches, when she’s thinking or remembering Josh, i put myself on her shoes and i cry like a baby, for real if you for a second imagine losing your boyfriend or husband or whatever you call it, i’m betting that you will be stuck as she is on this moment of her life; and thats why she’s so stubborn moving on, she thinks that she will be cheating on her fiancé if she let herself fall for someone else, (that being Cage York) but after talking with her “brother in law” (who is her fiancé twin brother!! talking about never forget), he encourage her to move on, just as he’s about to do; so slowly but surely she’s letting Cage in, all that pent up attraction is freed (secretly, because of her daddy),from here on is a hot sexy story between the two of them.

But as soon as their romance begins, it’s finished, their lives finally caught them, and they’re facing so much and trying to fight for what they have, that every single moment that i was reading this, i was suffering, and praying that nothing bad would happen that drifted them apart, is an amazing story of “love would be the solution to all of our problems” and “love its capable of everything” is inspiring and if you’re in a love jam as i was this would make you believe. 

I love it but if you know me, then you know that everything that Abbi writes i will be definitely reading it, so if you haven’t read any of her books, i think you should hehe.

Y como estuvo?

En este libro, podemos conocer finalmente a la historia de Cage y como les mencioné en la reseña pasada, Abbi Glines introduce el siguiente personaje del libro en su libro anterior (si eso tiene sentido), así que en este Cage se enfrenta con olvidarse de su sueño y el único compromiso, con el cual siempre ha sido constante, ya que su “rumbeadera” (salir a fiestas) finalmente lo metió en problemas, después de obtener una multa por conducir embriagado, su entrenador le dio un ultimatum, o trabaja fuerte este verano o se olvida del baseball, tan sencillo como eso, finalmente deja de ser terco y decide que el baseball es mas importante que su orgullo y se va a una granja. 

Pero al llegar todo se vuelve interesante, cuando conoce a una dulce y hermosa chica, quien lo hace sentir cosas que nunca ha sentido, pero ella es tan terca (por lo menos ante sus ojos), pero lo que el no sabe es que su vida perfectamente planeada cambio de la peor manera posible y ha quedado estancada en una etapa de sufrimiento y pretensión de estar bien, cuando lo único que quiere es morir, pero esta tratando de estar bien, principalmente por su papá, quien ha dado todo de si para estar todo el tiempo con su hija y darle todo su apoyo, tragedia tras tragedia; su vida si la ves desde afuera es casi perfecta, tiene dinero, un padre amoroso y una familia política que la ama, pero su vida se desmorona cada vez que recuerda a Josh su prometido quien falleció, WOW! eso es muy fuerte, tu corazón duele cuando ella piensa en Josh, cuando me pongo en los zapatos de Eva, y lloré como un bebé, enserio, si por un segundo te imaginas que pierdes de esa manera a la persona que mas amas, tu novio o esposo o como lo quieras llamar, apuesto que también estarías estancada (o) en ese momento de tu vida; y es por eso que le cuesta tanto superarlo y seguir adelante, ella piensa y siente que estaría engañando a Josh si se enamora de alguien mas, (ese alguien siendo Cage York), pero después de hablar con su cuñado (quien es el hermano gemelo de su prometido, hablando de nunca olvidar a alguien), el la alienta a seguir adelante así como el lo va a hacer; así que lento pero seguro, va dejando entrar a Cage en su vida, y toda esa atracción acumulada explota (en secreto obviamente por su papá), y de aquí en adelante empieza una historia super sexy entre ellos dos.

Pero así como su romance inicia, termina, sus vidas finalmente los alcanzan y se enfrentan a tanto y tratan de pelear por su amor, que todo el tiempo que estuve leyendo este libro, estuve sufriendo, y rezando que nada malo les pasara y que los distanciara, es una historia maravillosa de “el amor es la solución para todos nuestros problemas” y “ por amor eres capaz de todo”, es una historia inspiradora y si te encuentras en un pequeño atasco en tu vida amorosa esta historia de hará creer.

Yo la amé, pero si me conoces, sabes que todo lo que escriba Abbi lo voy a leer, así que si no la conoces te invito a que la leas y sepas como emocionarte por el amor .

Cage puede que use su status como estrella de baseball en la universidad para dormir con cualquier chica sexy que cruce su camino, tiene la ilusión que cuando termine con sus años salvajes, se va a casar con Low. Marcus intentará cambiar esta suposición para ambos Cage y Low. Hasta que su cuidadoso plan se destruye por una revelación que no se esperaba. El tendrá que escoger entre Low y su familia. Por que una vez que la verdad salga a la luz …no habrá otra opción.

Sooo.. How was it??

This book was amazing, from here on the roller coaster begins, on “Breathe” book the story was romantic, sweet, kind of naive and adolescent love; but the characters from the rest of the books are a little bit more grown up, their problems are more real and at the same time harder than the Sadie’s and Jake’s problems, (not that hers weren’t), but as the story went on they kind of solved easily, instead on this book the tests are harder and the decisions, can really change their lives.

First we meet Marcus, he’s desperate and want to run away from home, he doesn’t want people to know him for his family, he just wants people to like him for who he is and not for what he can bring to the table. I love Marcus, he comes from a really wealthy family, he’s humble and has friends that doesn’t come from his background just because he doesn’t like that stereotype.

But there is something his family can’t buy and that’s stability, his parents broke up and his dad found a new young hottie to be his girlfriend and his mom is falling apart obviously; he has a younger sister who is sweet but at the highest point of adolescence and the rebel part on her has scaled really quickly after his dad leave home.

As the new man of the house, has to come back and “rescue” his sister from her crazy mom, who pretends that everything is fine in front of everyone but when she is by herself is a different story; this is really hard and sad, but for some reason i couldn’t relate with the mom, i just find her annoying.

But the interesting part of this story is obviously the chemistry between Marcus and Low, who has problems of her own; her struggling on life is real, has a selfish sister with a baby daughter who is adorable and loves her ant low and she’s the reason that low returns every time to her sister house, but she is getting tired of that so she keeps spending nights on her best friend house Cage, who let me tell you has a serious problem of self-esteem, he is convinced that he is going to marry Low when HE! and get this straight when and just when HE IS READY FOR IT!!!!! I mean i hate him for this, a didn’t like him, not a bit; he gets his own book of course but in this one we just get to meet him on his wild side, he is a player and sleeps with anyone who worth his time. But there is something that makes you love him and it’s the love he has for low, he would drop anything that he’s doing to be with her no matter what; and if you read me before, you know that i’m a sucker for men like that, over protecting, loving and careful with the person who he cares the most.

*Sorry for this long introduction on the characters, but each book has a different person add to it, and has a lot to do with the plot told on the book, and in this case Cage plays an important part.*

Low has a bit of a crush on Marcus,his looks are a big plus, but as she gets to know him, she sees more in him, although she thinks that he is to good for her, just because he has money and she struggles every month to break even; but Marcus is attracted to her as well and he thinks that she is perfect for him… But of course her best friend doesn’t want her to be with anyone, and even less with his roommate Marcus, if you want to know what first love feels like this is it, is an instant BAM! they fall in love, and when everything went wrong, for the first time they are NOT the problem, even tho she has abandonment issues and he tends to be cocky as hell from time time they found a way to be together and be happy with their problems, but something has to go wrong and really wrong, i can’t say anymore because it would contain Spoiler, but it’s an exciting story, has your heart beating fast, and i just love it!!! amazing characters with amazing stories…

Y como estuvo?

Este libro me encanto, desde aquí comienza la montaña rusa, en el libro “Breathe” la historia era romántica, dulce y un poco inocente, amor adolescente; pero los personajes de los otros libros son un poco más maduros, sus problemas son más reales y al mismo tiempo más difíciles que los de Sadie o Jake (no estoy diciendo que los de ella no sean difíciles), pero mientras la historia continua, los problemas se van solucionando fácilmente, en cambio en este libro las pruebas son más difíciles y las decisiones podrían realmente cambiar sus vidas.

Primero conocemos a Marcus, el está desesperado por irse de su casa, no quiere que las personas lo conozcan por su familia y el solo quiere que lo quieran por lo que el es y no por el dinero que pueda tener. Me encanta Marcus, viene de una familia con bastante dinero, pero es humilde y tiene amigos que no vienen de su mismo circulo, por que no le gusta este estereotipo.

Pero hay algo que su familia no puede comprar y es estabilidad, su Padres se separaron y su papá encontró una novia mucho mas joven y su mamá esta teniendo problemas obviamente. El tiene una hermana más joven que es muy dulce pero está en el pico de su adolescencia rebelde y ha escalado mucho más rápido desde que su papá se fue.

Como el nuevo “hombre” de la casa el vuelve a rescatar a su hermana de su Mamá, quien pretende que todo esta bien en público, pero cuando esta sola es una historia totalmente diferente. Esta parte de la historia es muy dura y triste pero por alguna razón no me pude conectar con la mamá, sola la encontraba muy fastidiosa, aunque la entendía, me fastidiaba que no superaba nada.

Pero la parte interesante de la historia es obviamente la química entre Marcus y Low, ella obviamente tiene problemas personales, su lucha con la vida es real, tiene una hermana egoísta con una bebé Larissa, la cual es adorable y ama a su tía Low, ella es la razón por la cual Low regresa a la casa de su hermana, pero se esta cansando de ser la responsable de las acciones de su hermana y ahora esta pasando las noches en la casa de su mejor amigo Cage, el que, déjenme decirles tiene un gran problema de autoestima, esta convencido que se va a casar con Low pero solo cuando EL! y aclaremos este punto.. Solo cuando y si EL ESTA LISTO!!!!! ósea, lo odie por eso tanto tiempo, no se lo pueden imaginar… pero bueno el tiene un libro con su historia, pero en esta historia nos muestran Cage mujeriego, el que se acuesta con todas las chichas que se le atraviesen. Pero hay algo que hará que lo ames y es exactamente el amor que tiene por Low, el es capaz de dejar todo lo que esté haciendo por ella, y se alguna vez has leído mis reseñas sabes que por mas malo que sea el personaje, si es protector cariñoso y cuida a las personas que quiere, nada de lo que haga sera malo para mi hehe.

*Perdón por la introducción tan larga en los personajes pero es que Abbi Glines introduce en esta serie un nuevo personaje cada vez y son parte de la historia.*

Low tiene una traga (así le decimos en Colombia cuando te gusta alguien) en Marcus y obviamente su físico es un bono, pero cuando ella llega a conocerlo por la persona que es, ella ve mas en el, aunque ella piensa que el es menor que ella, solo por el hecho de que tiene más dinero y ella lucha todos los meses para pagar todas sus cuentas, sin contar que no tiene un lugar donde vivir; pero Marcus también esta tragado pero a diferencia de ella, el cree que ella es perfecta para el… Pero por supuesto mejor amigo no quiere que ella este con nadie y mucho menos Marcus, esta historia es para mostrarte que es el amor a primera vista, ellos se conocen y BAM! se enamoran y por primera vez, cuando todo va mal ellos no son el problema, aunque ella tiene problemas de abandono desde muy pequeña y el es un creído de tiempo completo, ellos encuentran la manera de estar juntos y ser felices con sus problemas, pero algo tiene que ir mal (muy mal), y no puedo explicar el sentimiento de frustración que me dio al saber que no es culpa de ellos y que aún así no van a estar juntos!!!!….. Pero bueno no puedo decir más por que les haría spoiler, pero es una historia emocionante y fácil de leer, te enamorarás de ellos y de los nuevos personaje y vas a quedar pegado a la historia, tendrá tu corazón latiendo rápido y lo amo!

Disclaimer:Just how i wrote reviews on the Marked men series, i’m going to write a full on review of the Sea Breeze and Rosemary Beach series, because Abbi Glines is one of my favorite authors and this two series are one of my favorites.

Synopsis

In the shore town of Sea Breeze, Sadie discovers that fame is nothing in the face of passion.

El trabajo de verano de Sadie White es en la playa, pero ella no estará trabajando como salvavidas. 

Desde que su mamá quedo embarazada y se rehusa a trabajar, Sadie tendrá que trabajar como empleada doméstica de una familia pudiente en la isla cercana. 

Cuando la familia llega para su descanso de verano, Sadie se entera que el dueño de la casa es Jax Stone, uno de los rockeros adolescentes mas hot del mundo. Si sadie fuera normal - si ella no hubiese tenido que criar a su madre y hacerse responsable de la casa- tal vez se estuviese emocionaría por trabajar para un rockstar. Pero no.

Aunque Sadie no está impresionada por la fama de Jax, el se siente atraído por ella. Todo lo que tenga que ver con Sadie fascina a Jax, pero el pelea en contra de su atracción: Las relaciones nunca han trabajado en su mundo, y así quiera a Sadie más que a nadie, el cree que ella merece a alguien mejor. Pero mientras pasa el verano, la pasión que siente Jax lo deja sin aliento, y Sadie se siente como la única fuente de oxigeno.

Sooo.. How was it??

This book was the first one that i read of Abbi Glines, and i really like it, “breathe” is light,easy to read and full of clichéd lines, but lets clarify that, this is a Young Adult book, so adult mature women or men, will roll their eyes, but if you are a teenager or have a romantic foolish heart, this book is for you. 

Sadie White is a 17 year old girl, who is more mature than her age, she took the responsible road when her mom decide that she isn’t going to work because she is pregnant, in that moment i felt so proud of Sadie, because she is not the rebel girl who doesn’t care about her because of what happened in her house and acts the same way as her mother does; she took a job on a wealthy house as a server, that part was wow, she is up to anything to support herself and her mother, so she took this job, everything is normal, until she meets the owner of the house and it turns to be Jax Stone a super hot rock star and something that i love the most about Sadie is that she isn’t the typical teenager, so she doesn’t know who he is,and once she finds out, she keeps her distance so she doesn’t risk her job, she is so sweet and really wants to be his friend and get to know him for what he is and not because he’s a celebrity; this sweetness makes that Jax notice Sadie, he’s so impressed that she isn’t his fan, and they get to know each other and she finds out that his life isn’t as amazing as she thought and sees how real he is and they just end loving each other.

Is an easy love, full of cute parts that makes your heart beat a little faster; as book of is own isn’t the greatest, the plot isn’t the most interesting of them all, but is a nice introduction for the rest of the members of Sea Breeze,is kind of detached from the other books, so isn’t as important to read this one first.

Anyhow this book is sweet, this first editions where just on Sadie’s part but if i’m not mistaken she re write it so it would be two side of the story, just as her other books where written.
I hope you liked it and make you feel curious for this series, soon another review of the next book of this series “Because of low”, a super exciting story with character a bit more mature (not to much) but perfect for a romantic story.

Y como estuvo?

Este fue el primer libro que leí de Abbi Glines, y me gusto bastante, “Breathe” es un libro muy ligero, fácil de leer y lleno de lineas clichéd, pero bueno aclaremos algo primero, este es un libro de para adultos jóvenes, así que muchos adultos mujeres y hombres, si lo leen van a voltear los ojos por que su historia no esta basada temas trascendentales, pero si eres adolescente o tienes un corazón romántico y bobito, este es tu libro.

Sadie White tiene 17 años pero es mucho más madura que muchas chicas de su edad, ella tomó el camino de la responsabilidad cuando su mamá queda embarazada y decide que no va a volver a trabajar, en ese momento sentí tanto orgullo de Sadie, ya que, no fue la típica chica rebelde que toma el mismo camino de su mamá o que no le importa lo que pase con su vida, así que tomó un trabajo como ayudante de servicio en una casa de una familia pudiente. así que ella esta dispuesta a todo para hacerse cargo de su casa y mantener a su mamá; así que toma este trabajo y todo va normal hasta que conoce al dueño de la casa, que es una estrella de rock adolescente Jax Stone, pero algo que me gusta de Sadie es que como no es una chica normal, ella no sabe quien es el, y una vez se entera, trata de mantener su distancia para no arriesgar su trabajo, ella es tan dulce y realmente quiere ser amiga de Jax por quien es el y no por su status de celebridad; esta dulzura y madurez es lo que atrae a Jax, el esta tan impresionado que ella no sepa quien es el y que no sea su fan que trata de conocer a Sadie como la persona que es; cuando se conocen ella descubre que su vida no es tan maravillosa y que realmente se siente solo y que es una persona totalmente diferente a como la pintan.

Es un amor fácil, lleno de partecillas donde tu corazón latirá un poco más rápido, como libro individual no es el mejor, la trama no es la más interesante, pero es una buena introducción para el resto de los personajes de la serie Sea Breeze, “breathe” es una historia un poco separada de las otras así que no es importante que leas esta primero.

Pero de todas maneras es un libro muy dulce de un amor de verano; esta primera edición esta escrita solamente desde el punto de vista de Sadie, pero si no me equivoco, Abbi lo volvió a escribir y tiene ahora los dos lados de la historia, creo un poco para que sea más coherente con los otros libros que están escritos de esta manera.

Espero les halla gustado y los anime a explorar el mundo de estos chicos que son jóvenes adultos con historias muy interesantes; esperen próximamente la continuación de esta serie “because of low” que es una historia super emocionante con temas un poco mas grandes, (no mucho) pero no son amores de verano.
